Jackson brings more 45 years of professional law enforcement experience, with over 30 years of leadership. Prior to establishing his consulting business, Solutions on Safety (S.O.S.), he served as Executive Director of Emergency Management, Fire and Safety System at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) for 4 years and previously served as the Director of the Public Safety Training Center at Tri-C for 7 years. Prior to Tri-C, Jackson retired at the highest service rank as Chief of Police for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police Department. Jackson’s first steps towards his career in safety and security begin with a career in the Cleveland Police Department, ultimately obtaining the rank of Commander before his departure to CMHAPD. Throughout his career, Jackson has honed a wealth of knowledge and expertise to effectively address many of the safety issues facing the companies that he now advises and trains.
Jackson holds CPP, CPTED, and is an ACPI Certified Crime Prevention Specialist. He also has training, law enforcement, and safety certifications from the prestigious FBI National Academy, a B.A. in Criminal Justice, FEMA National Emergency Management Basic Academy (2017), and has completed the FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar (38th Session, 1999)
